Law of attraction books can make massive shifts in your life. We often attract more of what we focus on, so making the shift towards focusing on what you want more of helps bring more of that in.

As someone who wasn’t sure I had any belief in the ‘whooiness’ of the law of attraction, I completely understand the skeptisism but think that not at least trying is a tragedy. Whether its magic, a placebo effect, or something else that makes the concepts in these books work – I can’t say. But I do know that reading up on the law of attraction, how it works, and getting some useful tools can absolutely change your life.

As someone who struggled with job burnout, struggled to find a life partner and enough money – reading law of attraction books is what helped me get back on track and create the freedom and wealth that I have now. I’ve read lots of books on the law of attraction, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without their mindset help. Here are the best law of attraction books that I recommend.

The Best Law of Attraction Books to Read ASAP

1. The Last Law of Attraction Book You’ll Ever Need to Read: The Missing Key to Finally Tapping into the Universe and Manifesting Your Desires

By: Andrew Kap
Published: 2019
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.6)

The Last Law of Attraction Book You’ll Ever Need was written in response to people complaining about ‘trying’ law of attraction and then claiming to not be getting results.

I listened to the audio of this book, and found it really interesting, helpful and inspiring. Andrew Kap teaches you how to experiment with ‘feeling how you already want to feel’; those emotions are an anchor for attracting the energy of what you really want in your life.

He keeps this book VERY short, and its very focus on techniques. So I wouldn’t recommend it as a book to put on audio while you go for a run. Although I put it first on this list, I don’t think it should be the first law of attraction book you read, because he moves quickly – its for people who have tried, and found that previous books or methods didn’t work. You may want to take notes so you can keep track of which techniques you want to use for the law of attraction.

2. The Book of Awakening: Having the Life You Want by Being Present to the Life You Have

By: Mark Nepo
Published: 2020 (revised version)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7)

If you haven’t read any of Mark Nepo’s books yet, then this is an amazing one to start with to learn manifestation from a very successful poet and philosopher. He survived cancer, has written over 20 books, made the New York Times Bestseller list, and has appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show.

His book, The Book of Awakening, teaches you to lean into gratitude and taking pleasure in the simple ways of life, in order to manifest more of the things you want. It has a daily meditation and activity. If you’re going through a hard time, this book may be especially comforting; helping you to see hope, and find joy and fall in love with life nomatter the hardships.

3. Lucky Bitch: A Guide for Exceptional Women to Create Outrageous Success

By: Denise Duffield Thomas
Published: 2018
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7)

Lucky Bitch is a law of attraction book that teaches you through example how to create the results that you want, rather than just hoping or wishing for them. It does not function as a law of attraction self help book like others on this list; instead, the author tells it as a story of how she manifested a fully paid for trip around the world.

What I like about this is that you can really understand how the law of attraction books when you hear Denise’s story. There are some huge reasons why she won the trip around the world, and the other contestants didn’t. From reading and listening to it, how she didn’t just hope and pray that her and her husband would be chosen for the trip – she made it happen.

Originally, Lucky Bitch was self-published, but became so successful that she got a publishing deal, and went on to publish more very successful money mindset books. As a self-made multi-millionaire, (who came from an average to below average financial upbringing) she is hugely inspirational and an author who’s books you should definitely include on your shelf if you want to create magic in your own life.

*It was hard for me to choose a Denise Duffield Thomas book for this book, because she’s a law of (money) attraction expert, with several other books that were very good as well. Her books have really shaped me, and I ended up taking her course, Money Bootcamp – which you can read my review on here.*

4. Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting

By: Wayne W. Dyer
Published: 2010
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7)

Wishes Fulfilled was written by a motivational speaker who had a very rough start in life (being given up for adoption by his birth parents, and spending his first 10 years in orphanages.) He became a highschool guidance counsellor, before moving onto motivational speaking territory, and then deepening his wisdom with spirituality.

He was deeply influenced by yogis such as Muktananda and Nisargadatta Maharaj, and considered them to be his teachers. He eventually became really knowledgable about self-actualization. His book, Wishes Fulfilled is a powerful manifesting book that initially you may feel like giving up early on (because of the “I am__” statements that may sound silly at first) however, stick with it becase the words in this book are worth absorbing.

5. You Have the Magic: Harness the Power of Your Mind to Transform Your Reality

By: Haley Hoffman Smith
Published: 2025
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7)

You Have the Magic is one of the newst law of attraction books, and it has gotten lots of high ratings. The author made headlines when she started making $30k per month from content creation at only 25 years old after quitting her 9-5. She’s a major social media influencer, (a profession that does receive some hate) – but this book is worth listening to.

One thing I liked about this book is there is a LOT of focus on clearing out deep-seeded beliefs that you’re not even aware you have. Things that your subconscious is doing to keep you ‘safe’, but are actually holding you back from.

You Have the Magic is also the first law of attraction book I’ve read that includes EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), which is scientifically proven to be helpful in clearing out negative energy.

6. Meeting Your Half Orange: An Utterly Upbeat Guide to Using Dating Optimism to Find Your Perfect Match

By: Amy Spencer
Published: 2010
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

Meeting Your Half Orange is the first law of attraction book I ever read. It was my first taste of what the law of attraction really means, and how and why it works. Its also specifically focused specifically on attracting a life partner. It worked very well – a few months after reading this book, and another one on this list that I’m recommending, my husband came into my life.

One thing about Meeting Your Half Orange though, is that I found it to be mostly catering to a young, single, never attached audience. At the time I read it, I was a (never married) single mom looking for a life partner. It felt like the book was for people who’d:

  • never married or divorced
  • never had kids
  • were in the early stages of their adulthood

So I would recommend this book for people to read in their 20s. But don’t worry, there are tons of other books on attracting a life partner that speak more to all stages of life.

7. The Secret

By: Rhonda Byrne
Published: 2006
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.6)

The Secret is a good book to give you an intro to the law of attraction if you’re new to it. It covers manifesting and it has some great activities. It’s one of the older LOA books out there.

I initially avoided putting The Secret as #1 on this list, because it was one law of attraction book that I avoided for a long time. I remember after 2006, everyone was talking about it – but mostly making fun of it. There’s even a scene in Sex in the City where one of the characters is reading ‘new age self help’ and tosses The Secret aside. Part of why it was made fun of so much was they did kind of make it a bit cheesy calling it “the great mystery of the universe”.

However, it has some very good concepts in here and is a good starting point. If you’re completely new to the law of attraction, then I think The Secret is a good one to start with. If you’ve already read a few of them, then it may not have anything new.

8. (Bonus) You’re a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth

By: Jen Sincero
Published: 2017
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7)

You’re A Badass At Making Money was the first law of attraction book I read that focused on money. I’d recommend it primarily to people who dream of being their own boss, quitting a 9-5 that they don’t enjoy, and running their own business.

you're a badass at making money book cover

I read it shortly before I quit my job, and the book was a crucial part of how I was able to adjust my mindset to being a stay at home entrepreneur, and make good cash. It had mantras which, maybe sound funny if you say them outloud, but also really work. I’m not sure if I could have achieved what I have now if it weren’t for the attitude and mindset shift that the law of attraction books have given me.

Additional Law of Attraction Books That Can Help You on Your Manifestation Journey

These books are just as amazing as the 7 “must reads” that I listed above, but are best for helping you deepen your abilities or manifest in a specific area of your life.

Calling in “The One” Revised and Expanded: 7 Weeks to Attract the Love of Your Life

By: Katherine Woodward Thomas
Published: 2021 (revised)
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.6)

It’s very important that you don’t judge the title of. Calling In The One. Even though the title was somewhat embarassing to be reading, I am so glad I read it. This book, along with Meeting Your Half Orange, are the books I read right before I met my now husband.

Calling in The One, however, is a lot larger than the other book (think textbook size) and it has WAY more activities and reflection. It’s a book for if you really want to do the work, and its not a book that you finish quickly.

Cosmic Ordering for Beginners: Everything You Need to Know to Make It Work for You

By: Barbel Mohr
Published: 2001
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.7)

Cosmic Ordering For Beginners is another one of the older manifestation books, but a really good one that has a science-backed way of explaining how the law of attraction works. The author (who originally wrote the book in German) has a really easy way of breaking down what its about, and how it works. Cosmic Ordering was recommended to me by Joanna Hunter who has her own successful book on money manifesting – called My Million Dollar Experiment – also a successful book on money mindset. She says that Cosmic Ordering is her favourite book on law of attraction.

Goddess Energy: Awakening the Divine Feminine Through Myth and Magic

By: Gabriela Hertsik
Published: 2024
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

Goddess Energy: Awakening the Devine Feminine is not primarily a law of attraction book, but manifestation and the law of attraction is a big theme in the book. This book isn’t for everyone, but if you want to take a step further in the ‘whooiness’, then it might be for you.

Goddess Energy helps you get to know different goddesses; it talks about the power of femininity and embracing it, it also teaches how to focus on the things you love and desire, ask the goddesses for them and it has some manifestation excersies (some which are called spells.)

So yeah, Goddess Energy might be a little out there for some, but its worth checking out if it sounds interesting to you! I personally really enjoyed learning about the goddesses. I think that we sometimes like to scientifically explain the law of attraction, so that it makes sense. But really, there is an element of whooiness to it.

Final Thoughts on Manifestation Books

I hope that you don’t feel too overwhelmed by all the amazing and worthwhile reads on this list. Books on law of attraction changed my life, and I consider it my duty to share them with others. I went from being a single mom teacher, who struggled with loneliness with lots of debt – to now being a happily married, full-time online entrepreneur. Reading these books has helped me change my life, and quite drastically.

I hope that you’re able to pick up some of these amazing books, and attract the love, wealth, friendship and abundance that you need and deserve in your life!
